IMAGE Skincare IMAGE Skincare is a cosmeceutical line of professional treatment and home care products that incorporates only the highest pharmaceutical-grade ingredients and latest technology. It works on the cellular level to alter the way skin cells grow and perform.
Your skin is the largest organ in your body. As we age, all physiological mechanisms slow down. The skin needs certain ingredients to prevent malnutrition of the skin, which can result in sagging, wrinkles, and excessive brown spots on the skin.
We carry multiple lines within the IMAGE Skincare system that will help with various skin conditions ranging from aging skin to acne prone skin.

Product Comparison:
Over-the-Counter vs. Cosmeceuticals
Beautiful skin starts with healthy skin. To maintain and improve skin health, an effective, professional pharmaceutical skin care regimen is essential.
Over-the-counter (OTC) products only treat the skin’s surface layer. As defined by the FDA, “it is intended to be applied to the human body for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance without affecting the body's structure or functions.”
Optimal skin health is achieved by reaching live tissue, which can be accomplished through the use of cosmeceuticals.
Cosmeceuticals (a combination of two words; “cosmetic” and “pharmaceutical”) are non-prescription skin care products that are thought to improve the function of skin and provide a more youthful appearance. In contrast to cosmetics and OTC products, cosmeceuticals are reported to work on the cellular level to alter the way skin cells grow and perform.
Commonly used ingredients in cosmeceuticals may fall into one or more of the following categories:
- Retinoids, like prescription-strength tretinoin, are derived from vitamin A and can be applied directly to the skin. Retinoids cause skin cells to turnover more rapidly. Topical retinoids are one of the most well-established and effective treatments to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles due to aging skin.
- Hydroxy acids, such as glycolic acid and salicylic acid, remove older skin cells (exfoliation) and make the skin appear younger and softer.
- Botanicals, sometimes referred to as “phytochemicals,” are active ingredients from roots, fruits, seeds, leaves, and other parts of a plant.
- Antioxidants may be derived from many sources, including botanicals. Antioxidants help to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Vitamins C and E are the primary antioxidants in the body. Some cosmeceuticals include antioxidants, such as green tea, coffeeberry, licorice root, etc.
- Vitamins, such as biotin, vitamin E and derivatives of vitamin A (retinol)
- Peptides reported to reduce the signs of aging by increasing collagen production, thereby making the skin thicker and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
To simplify things, OTC products only addresse dead tissue while professional cosmeceutical products treat live tissue.
Keep in mind that sunscreen remains the most important skin care product for maintaining healthy and beautiful skin.
