Summer Skin Care

Every day, as a dermatologist, I inform patients about the damage that tanning, in the sun, does to the skin not only due to the increased risk of skin cancer, but also on all of the long-term, detrimental cosmetic effects that it has on the skin. However, I also know that having a beautiful tan is highly desirable so I wanted to be able to provide a healthy way for my patients to tan.

I examined numerous sunless tanning systems; and in my professional opinion, our Infinity Sun Airbrush Tanning System provides the best and most realistic tan. My patients love it and I am happy that I know their tan did not come at the expense of long-term damage to their skin.

If you would like to discuss personalized treatment options, please call our office at 512.482.9344 to schedule a complimentary med spa consultation about safe sunless tanning.

A Healthy Sun-kissed Glow
Legendary eOs Facial and an Airbrush Tan only $99

For many people, summer is a time to relax with friends at the pool or beach, soaking up the sun's rays to get that perfect golden tan. However, before you grab your swimsuit and head for the water or even a tanning bed, consider an alternative way to achieve the sun-bronzed glow you want without damaging your skin.

Lying out in the sun or in a tanning bed is no longer considered a healthy or safe way to get a tan. Whether from traditional tanning beds or booths, or the sun, doctors universally agree that UV rays are harmful to your health. In recent case-controlled studies, traditional ultraviolet light tanning beds have been linked to melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. Also, exposure to UV rays is the number one cause of premature aging (i.e. fine lines, wrinkles, sunspots, etc.). Infinity Sun Airbrush Tanning offers an alternative to sunbathing and tanning beds, while still giving you the same bronzed look you crave.

Getting a sunless tan is easy. Applied with an airbrush and air compressor, this method uses DHA (dihydroxyacetone), which saturates the outermost layer of your skin, staining the dead cells gradually. The result? A golden tan without the risk of skin cancer or long-term skin damage. This method offers realistic results, excellent coverage, and typically lasts up to 10 days. The aestheticians at eŌs Dermatology can customize your session to give you a light, medium, or dark tan.

Infinity Sun Airbrush Tanning gives you the same results in fifteen minutes as five tanning bed sessions or many hours in the sun. It also improves your skin's overall appearance by de-emphasizing freckles, cellulite, stretch marks, scars, and varicose veins. If you are fed up with the inconsistency of sunless tanning lotions or are trying to be more health conscious by reducing you exposure to UV rays, Infinity Sun Airbrush Tanning gives you a great, healthy way to tan all year round.
